隔壁老王：“龙年”应该是 the Year of the Loong

　　2020是庚子年，鼠年，rat和 mouse 都是“鼠”，rat's year 还是 mouse's year？都不是！“鼠年”怎么说？

　　歪果仁是这样说的：the Year of the Rat，但 rat 是个贬义词。rat is a small rodent, larger than a mouse, that has a long tall and is considered to be harmful. 大而有害的老鼠。

　　而 mouse 是个褒义词，表示 mouse is a small mammal with short fur, a pointed face, and a long tall. 短毛尖脸尾巴的老鼠

　　e.g:
　　a field mouse 田鼠
　　a pet mouse 宠物鼠
　　Mickey mouse 米老鼠

　　所以，作为文化输出，我们应该说 the Year of the Mouse。

　　e.g:
　　This is the Year of the Mouse.
　　今年是鼠年。

　　类似的翻译还有“龙年”。歪果仁说的是 the Year of the Dragon，但 dragon 表示带翅膀还喷火的恐怖动物，而我们说的“龙”应该是：loong，所以“龙年”应该是 the Year of the Loong。
